The 6th International Conference on Petroleum Phase Behavior and Fouling
will provide an excellent forum for presenters and attendees to learn and
exchange valuable experiences about a wide range of topics:
- Thermodynamics of Heavy Oils and Asphaltenes
- Chemistry and Physics of Petroleum-Water Emulsions
- Characterization of Petroleum Macromolecules
- Wax Thermodynamics and Deposition
- Mechanisms and Mitigation of Fouling in Refining and Upgrading
- Mechanisms and Mitigation of Fouling in Production
- Heavy Oil Upgrading
This Conference series started in 1995 as only three sessions. By 1999
it had expanded into the First International Conference. Since then, the
Conference has continued to expand and evolve into the premier technical
meeting on petroleum phase behavior while alternating between North
American and European locations. It is one of the few meetings that attracts
both industrial and academic researchers, both production and refining
engineers, and representatives from most of the countries involved in
developing new petroleum technology.
Abstracts for talks and posters are solicited at this time. Short abstracts,
less than 250 words, are due by December 15th, 2004. Notification of
acceptance will be forwarded by January 31st, 2005. The deadline for full
papers is March 31st, 2005. Abstracts, papers and other correspondence
related to the technical program should be addressed to: Pim van Bergen,
the technical program chair, at pim.vanbergen@petroleumphase.nl.
