Instruction for Authors

 

Oral presentations

• Plesae check the latest version of the programme the verify the time of your presentation.
• All oral presentations will take place in the main hall of the St Olaf Chapel.
• Keynote presentations will be 40 minutes in lenth: 30 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for follow-up questions and discussion.
• All other presentations will be 25 minutes in length: 18 minutes for presentation and 7 minutes for follow-up questions and discussion.
• Please prepare your presentation electronically using Microsoft PowerPoint (MS Power Point 97 or higher).
• A projector and a computer running Windows 2000 and MS PowerPoint 2000 will be provided.
• Please send your presentation as yourname.ppt file to Pim van Bergen or Frans van den Berg before June 18, and bring a copy of your presentation to the conference on a CD or memory stick.
• Please do not plan to use your own laptop for running your presentation. This is to avoid problems with computer – projector compatibility and to ensure efficient conference progress.
• An overhead projector will also be provided. Authors are advised to bring their slides on on foils as a backup.

 

Poster presentations

• The posters will be displayed in the hall leading up to the St. Olof Chapel.
• Poster boards 2 (?) m high and 1.2 (?) m wide will be avialable for mounting the posters. Only one poster is assigned per board side. Authors may use the complete surface if they wish.
• The room will be open on Sunday night an on Monday from 0.800 – 18.00 hours so that authors may mount their posters on boards assigned to them and marked with their ID number. Please check the program for the ID number of your poster.
• Material for mounting the posters will be provided byy the organisation.
• Authors are required to be present at their posters from 13.00 hours to 13.45 on Monday and Tuesday and 13.25 to 14.10 on Wednesday to answer questions.
• Authors should leave the posters up until Wednesday evening, so that attendees may visit the posters during breaks and after the last session of the day.
• Authors are asked to remove their posters after the evening session on Wednesday.
